Mock Education Minister’s Summit Held

On the 12th & 13th August our friends at MOCK COP held a Mock Education Minister’s Summit, resulting in a Youth Statement on Quality Climate Education - which you can read below:

The team at MOCK COP informed us that

“this is the work of 227 national youth delegates from 89 countries coming together to raise ambition for climate education over 2 days of learning, discussions and negotiations.

The statement represents the first ever unified youth definition of quality climate education, and a resulting set of clear asks. We will now work to support our youth delegates to engage on a national level with their education ministers to secure commitments to this quality climate education in the run up to, and at, COP28.”

You can watch back a number of the sessions over the weekend on Mock COP's Youtube account.

The event also garned plenty of press coverage, some of the highlights below:

You can follow the MOCK COP team and all the great work they are doing on social media via these links: Twitter, Instragram and LinkedIn.
